Mair is new director for CPT Scotland

George Mair has been appointed director of CPT Scotland. Mair takes over from Marjory Rodger who is moving on after ten years with CPT.

Born and educated in Aberdeen, Mair joined Aberdeen Corporation Transport in 1971. During his 38 years with the company and its successors, Grampian Regional Transport and First Aberdeen, Mair worked in a variety of positions, ultimately being appointed managing director in 1997.

CPT chief executive Simon Posner says: “We are delighted to welcome George on board. His unparalleled knowledge and experiences of bus and coach operations in Scotland will be vital in providing further support to members during these testing times.”

He adds: “CPT, on behalf of the industry, would like to thank Marjory Rodger who has worked tirelessly over the past ten years promoting the interests of bus, coach and light rail operators in Scotland. We wish her every success with all future endeavours.”
