Henry Cooper Coaches has taken delivery of a new Volvo B11R with JHV2 bodywork as part of a drive to update its fleet. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, the operator wanted a new Euro 6 B11R to meet the growing requirements of low emission zones in UK towns and cities.
“We needed a Euro 6 vehicle to ensure our services are able to operate in towns and cities which have low emission zones and these are becoming increasingly common across the UK,” says Graham Greaves, managing director. “We believe the B11R is the best option on the market today in terms of fuel efficiency and low emissions. Two thirds of our fleet is Volvo and we had no hesitation in going with them again for our latest vehicle acquisition.
“The JHV2 bodywork looks great and is extremely impressive for our passengers. The exterior and interior finish are second to none and I am sure it will prove popular with our customers and drivers alike.
Bob McGarry, Volvo retail bus & coach sales manager, adds: “While they have been a customer of ours for a long time, this is their first B11R and the first Jonckheere-bodied coach they have purchased. We are confident that it will meet all of their fuel efficiency and passenger comfort needs perfectly.”
Henry Cooper Coaches is family-owned operator and has been established for more than 90 years.
